Beyond the THE FRONTIER is expansive space of unknown worlds. The UGH STAR NAVY occasionally makes patrols, but no full survey has even been made of even a fraction of the expanse. It is known that some human barbarians, unconnected to either the THE FLEET INVINCIBLE or RENEGADES have emerged from the Out Beyond in strange spaceships to cause trouble in the Frontier. Also, some of the few survey and scout vessels sent out have disappeared without trace.
