Background: Tony Farms was born in Connecticut in 1910.  Tony’s parents die while he is quite young, and he was adopted by a relative living in London, England.  When Tony grew up, he managed to get into college studying paleontology.  Never a great student, he was ‘graduated’ after he stumbled upon his professor in a compromising position with the school’s goat mascot, half a youth choir, and the dean of the university.  Not recognizing actually what was happening, Tony was quite happy that university decided to hire him as a paleontology associate assigned to assemble displays in the biology department making a considerable paycheck.  Tony Farms became the Pumaman after he was thrown out of a window by the semi-competent Aztec Man known as Vedino, who then revealed he was chosen ‘by the gods’ to be the protector of Aztec people.  Tony Farms faced his most worthy opponent, Evil Donald Pleasance, in a battle of Aztechnologies.  Tony ends up going on an extended European vacation with his love, the daughter of the Belgian ambassador to England, culminating with a zeppelin cruise.  Little did Tony know, this all was part of Evil Donald Pleasances’ plan!  Evil Donald Pleasance’s operation was completely composed of clones of Evil Donald Pleasance!  Tony and his lady got on the zeppelin, and were hardly in the air before they found themselves facing off with hundreds of copies of Evil Donald Pleasance!  A massive battle ensued, with sinister, elderly, bald men facing off with Pumaman and a woman even more stupid than he is.  At the battle’s climax, in the gas bag of the zeppelin, the duo found themselves almost completely overwhelmed, when Pumaman’s girlfriend suddenly threw him out of convenient window and flicked her lit cigarette into a torn gas cell.  Tony found himself falling, watching the enormous fireball consume the zeppelin, his only love, and hundreds of Evil Donald Pleasances, as well as a considerable portion of the Belgian countryside.  Crying to himself, Tony Farms was visited by Vedino again, and told to ‘go where your boss commands you!’  When he returned to his college, he interrupted his supervisor, who was again in a compromising position with the dean of the university.  His supervisor picked up a newspaper off his desk, and saw an article talking about horrible crime problems in Gotham City, when he came up with an idea to send Tony to Gotham City, where somebody reported seeing a caveman!  Tony, find the caveman!

Motivation: Tony Farms is powered by Aztec aliens that monitor his efforts for their own amusement.  They made all of his powers produce the ‘Pumaman theme song’ every time they’re used, because it’s horribly funny to them.  Tony is basically a very good person, though, helping people in Gotham with minor problems that can be solved with his flight powers, to the point that advertisers have sneakily coopted his theme song to sell pomade on the radio (‘Pumaman Pomade!  Now make your hair fly!  LIKE A PUMA!).  Mr Cheavers found him one day, and convinced him that he could do some good fighting crime in Gotham while searching for this caveman (meanwhile walking past Gorak the Caveman Janitor, who Tony seems to think is Greek).

Special Item Tony Farms received a special belt from Vedino that allows to transform into his ‘Pumaman’ costume when it is worn.

THE DEATH OF PUMA MAN Tony Farms, the Puma Man, died on May 27, 1934 when he threw himself on a grenade thrown by Wound Ravens gangsters. His heroic self-sacrifice saved the lives of several innocent civilians, including young legal intern Richard Nixon.
