Shemp is a totally inept stumble-bum of a man. He manages to get all sorts of jobs all over town, but rapidly gets fired from them in short order. He recently was personal assistant to Myrtle May Breckenridge, but that didn't last long. He is also a paid informant of the Carruthers Detective Agency providing moderately useful information from time to time, for a moderate fee.
