Carruthers Detective Agency
The Carruthers Agency is the largest private detective and security company in Gotham. The owner, Jim Carruthers is an honest guy, but his firm is filled with underworld moles. There is a large office of professional investigators who do much of the legwork for various law offices, insurance companies, suspicious wives and occasionally even a newspaper in the city. Carruthers also has a large stable of security guards for hire for all sorts of work all over town.
Carruthers also has a small network of stoolies and informants who feed him information. He keeps their identities a close secret, since he knows the gangs have spies in his office. Some of these informants include Orville "Turkey" Jackson, Dockyard Pete and the ubiquitous Shemp
