GUARDIAN CORPSE

The simplest form of the Undead is the Guardian Corpse. This is a corpse that has been animated by the implantation of a minor demonic spirit by evil magic. Depending on its state of decomposition, a Guardian Corpse might appear nearly alive, a rotting monstrosity or a walking skeleton.

The Guardian Corpse is a slave to every command of its animator, and lacks initiative. It is typically used to guard a place or as a member of an army of Evil bent on conquest or revenge. Guardian Corpses never need check morale, but fight to the death or until some magic compels them not to.

All Guardian Corpses count as Evil and as Undead for various spell purposes.
