COINS
There are 3 sorts of coins minted in the New World by the Kingdom of Nessex:
Copper Penny (cp): weighs 1/100 of a pound, worth 1/10 of a silver penny.
Silver Penny (sp): weighs 1/100 of a pound, worth 10 copper pennies or 1/10 of a gold mark
Gold Mark (gp): weighs 1/100 of a pound, worth 10 silver pennies.
In addition to these, there is a commonly found gold “coin” that comes from the Atlantean ruins, called the Atlantean Orb.
Atlantean Orb (ao): weighs 2.3375 pounds, of an unknown gold alloy. These orbs have an accepted value of 250gp each. Most orbs are covered with strange glyphs, and many of them radiate magic and those that radiate magic also radiate evil. What the magic power and evil effects of these orbs are is of yet unknown, part of the Mystery of the Atlantean Orbs
