Thranconia

The Herporites are a species of hell-spawn demons who lust after sorcery and the destruction of all living creatures. They can only come to this plane of existence either by extremely difficult magic or by entering through a hell-mouth portal. They currently are attempting a return to the World in the areas known as the Great Valley west of Thranconia. It is surmised that their influence led to the loss of the Dukedom in the vale, centuries ago.

Each Herporite has as its natural form a collection of independently moving snakes with a single will, all of whom can come together to take almost any shape desired. They are all gifted with the ability to cast magic spells, but are of widely different ranges of power and strength.
