The Chinese Grudge Against Two Chains

In 1933, Two Chains was a promising, if ugly and unpleasant, martial arts student in Chinatown, Gotham City. He worked as at various day-jobs, but most of his efforts were directed toward mastering the art of the deadly chain-sword. His teacher, the Shaolin Master Fo-Gon, was beloved by the ordinary citizens of Chinatown, but also valued by both the Golden Dragons and Ghost Dragons gangs, as he trained fighters from both groups.

Two Chains, however, discovered Fo-Gon's secret. His skill level was so high because he was in fact a vampire and hundreds of years old. He preyed on orphan children and elderly shut-ins to maintain his undead existence. Two Chains stole the “Stake of Pan-Tun” and slew the creature in his den.

Unfortunately, he was discovered in the act and soon word was all over Chinatown that Two Chains had murdered the beloved teacher. Both gangs marked him for death, and the Chinese citizenry turned their backs on him, driving him from Chinatown.

Two Chains can expect murderous attacks from Chinese Gangsters at almost any moment, since the grudge is strong.
