Cutter Lighthouse owns and runs Pig Stickers Barbecue in Blanchaven but makes most of his money running a robbery crew in the Free Men gang. His particular crew specializes in using some custom built non-descript plumber's and electrician's vans to pull off nighttime burglaries. His crew are called the Busters and Lighthouse keeps iron clad control over each one of them and over the blocks surrounding his restaurant.

Lighthouse himself is always very calm and very measured. He never seems angry, but is capable of inflicting terrible punishments on his underlings and unwelcome outsiders who cross him,
