Polychronopolis

The Podesta is the governor of the City of Polychronopolis, appointed by the King of Kotharia to serve at his pleasure. The Podesta has an official palace located in the ward called The Towers where he resides and does his business. The Podesta commands the CITY GUARDS, whose main commission is to defend the walls of the city, put down treason and public unrest. The Podesta judges complaints under the guard's jurisdiction personally. The Podesta can call upon the regiment based at Rathgard to augment the guard.

The current podesta is Basil Barriman, who hopes to rake in a big haul of cash from the job and return to estates up north after a few years.
