Goblins, Hobgoblins and Bugbears are different varieties of the same humanoid species. Their faces are twisted and uneven, their skin is rough and an orange, yellow or greenish hue. Goblins are small, about 4’ tall, while All three sorts are nearly all given over to the Chaotic alignment, but Neutral and Lawful renegades can be found. The Goblinoids have excellent Dark Vision from living underground. Goblins are known for their nimbleness and treachery, although on average they’re a bit stupid. Goblins find the sun to be incredibly unpleasant, and the suffer a -1 on their attack rolls and Morale level when under its direct rays. Goblins are excellent trackers, but, because of their small size, Goblins cannot use Large Weapons , Longbows or Composite Bows.

Goblins in the Region:
There are goblins bands (often mixed with Hobgoblins and Bugbears) all across the wild sections of the Border Zones, but very few, except in mercenary bands or as servants to wizards or cults will be seen in the city, and they are considered dangerous rubes. Many goblins are members of the cult of the Queen of Madness; this sees them engaging in filthy and vile mass orgies. It is suspected that this is the reason why Hobgoblins insist on being called by the title Hobgoblin before their personal names, lest them be deemed to be dirty goblins.
