All Americans

Perhaps the oldest criminal organization, the All Americans can trace their origin all the way back to the founding of Gotham, and a clique who followed a young man named Issac Allerton. Allerton's rhetoric regarding the greed of the landowning wealthy and his rage against immigrants he viewed as invaders drove his gang's violence and hatred. Allerton's ancestors crossed the Atlantic on the Mayflower, which provided the gang with their stylized flower they use as their symbol. Many All Americans wear work boots with the mayflower imprinted in the soles to provide proof after the fact that the gang members had been at work somewhere.

The gang's core is made up of two families. The Allertons and the Snows, both families who were a small part of Gotham's founding. The gang is always commanded by two leaders - known in the group as “Master Red” (for the Allerton leader) and “Mister White” (for the Snow leader). Over the years the balance of power between the two families has shifted subtly, with the more notoriously violent Allertons now in ascension over the devious Snows. Collectively, these two leaders are known as the “Dynasty”. Abraham Allerton, a descendant of Issac Allerton is the current “Master Red”. His dedication to his ancestor's legacy is impressive, although his choice to dig up Issac's grave and talk about restoring his soul through magic or technology are startling. Nathan Snow is the current “Mister White”, but some say that the true power behind “Mister White” is his mistress Gwendoline Cobblepot.

Many gang members have gotten wealthy and started legitimate businesses, so this gang is flush with access to money laundering, blackmail, and fence operations while “lower class” crime such as bootlegging, drugs, and prostitution are now seen as “below them”.

Duke Thompson of the Windsor Crew is the gang's leading fence, operating a high-class antique shop called Dynasty Antiques. He has extensive contacts with gangs in Civic City and New York.

Over the years, the gang has opposed the Irish, the Italian, and Chinese mobsters. Their raids on the opium dens of the Golden Dragons at the turn of the century, is a widely-known example. They see themselves as the “Monarchs of Thugs”. Their gangs are named for royalty, so a lieutenant might be an “Earl” or a “Duke” and they might command the “Antoinettes” or the “Hapsburgs”.

Earl Atkins is the leader of a crew called the Bourbons who have two main past-times. First, they love ripping off other gangs (they call this tax-collection) and blackmailing businessmen and city officials (they call this levying fines).

The All Americans operate their gang out of the Old Gotham District.
