+There are no official reports concerning meetings between members of [[nel|The New Earth League]] and The Strangers.  Yet, unofficial stories are in wide circulation and photographic images of them are commonplace. They seem to be entirely against committing personal violence and there is no report of them ever speaking.  Some old artistic work seems to show that they had heavy involvement in the governance of [[pan_galactic_union|The Pan Galactic Union]].  They are sometimes informally called The Spookies or Stretchers.
