| The Hercules Cluster is a bundle of 6 sectors located approximately 240 Light Years from Earth. When evidence that the sector had been colonized by humans was uncovered in 2432 AD, it was immediately placed on the Space Patrol priority list. In 2436 and expedition consisting of 12 exploration frigates, 3 immense space tugs, 3 bulk carrier cargo vessels and 4 dispatch ships set out for Hercules. The expedition arrived at the Cluster in early 2437. The tugs put Hercules Station in place near the center of the cluster in the Maciste Sector and the crews of all the vessels soon got it up and running.
