Character Creation
The house rules for this campaign differ a little bit from the standard Savage Worlds rulebook.
- PCs are recruited as veterans and so they start with 20XP to spend.
- PCs start with six ability points to begin with rather than the standard 5.
- The edges and hindrances for “Poverty”, “Noble, “Rich” and “Superrich” may not be chosen for this campaign.
- Starting Gear: PC wildcards may choose a vehicle, weapon, or special equipment at character creation. If the item is ever lost or destroyed, they may replace it next game session. That way, a PC may guarantee that they always have their choice stuff.
- PCs may choose to take an Edge to gain an extra piece of special equipment that will be replaced.
- PCs may choose to take a Hinderance where they do not get any special equipment and must rely on whatever is in the arsenal at the beginning of each game session.
- Characters who choose the Magic Arcane Background must choose powers from the list on this website rather than from the rulebook.
I think we should go with your earlier suggestion and make the Poverty hindrance mean no personal gear piece, Rich edge means 2 personal gear, and Filthy Rich 4 items. I think noble edge has got to go
We will eventually have to edit down the Arcane Backgrounds into a PDF
Are we both using the same edition of the rules; I am using the DELUXE EXPLORER'S Edition
