Louis Maelstrom is a star professor in the history department of [[gotham_university|Gotham University]].   He specializes in modern (1500-1900 AD) European history and has published several books exposing the occult influences on many European leaders.

He lives in a large book-stuffed apartment in [[coventry|Coventry]], near the [[kane_library|Kane Library]].
