====== St. George's Episcopal Cathedral ======

Built on the site of the oldest church in the [[old_gotham|oldest part]] of the city, St. George's Cathedral is the seat of the [[bishop_wilburforce_sanders|Episcopal bishop of Gotham]].  The traditional [[industrialists|elite]] of the town are all members here and it is the richest and most influential church in the city.   The building burned down in [[the_great_gotham_fire_of_1911|Great Fire of 1911]] and despite the immense sums spent on its reconstruction, it still in unfinished, after over 20 years of work.   Despite the construction, it is indeed open for business and services are held here.  The central section where the main services are held is complete and quite beautiful, but the upper levels, the side chambers and much of the exterior are still far from finished.

Hidden from the congregation by the continuing work that always seems to be done on the church, Nathan Snow was able to set up an elaborate safehouse beneath the church where he has hidden from the eye of the law and other gangs.
