RAMTHOR'S GOBLIN

Ramthor's Goblin is a large rooming house with stables and an attached tavern (The Buckets) located just inside the gates of Polychronopolis city in the South Bridge Ward. Ramthor caters to out-of-town sell-swords, cut-throats, and the more rough-and-tumble type of traveling speculators.

Ramthor himself is covered with scars and his nose has been broken several times. It's whispered that he's a deadly killer, but he's beat-up looking and over 60 years old.

Until they each decide to move elsewhere, all player characters are assumed to live at Ramthor's Goblin and to keep their stuff there. Ramthor demands payment in full, upfront and on time (included in your monthly maintenance). The only other two things he cares about are that no one breaks any of his stuff without paying for it, and that no one steals from him or from anyone else under his roof.

In the main dining room of the rooming house there is a large map painted on the wall. It is functionally identical to the REGIONAL MAIN MAP from this wiki. Any item named in the Wiki is labelled on Ramthor's Wall Map or is information that can be quickly discovered in casual conversation around The Goblin.

Banned for Life List: Steve and Bill.

Mealtime at the Goblin: Ramthor keeps a large cauldron on the main hearth of the Goblin. From dawn until mid-morning it's filled with “Morning Gruel”. From late morning till early afternoon, it's filled with “Lunch Soup”. From late afternoon until early evening, it's filled with “Dinner Stew”. No one has ever seen it moved, much less cleaned.

Drinks at The Buckets Ramthor's bar-keep, a dwarf known as “Buddy Brewski” (not his real name) brews and stocks a variety of ales of various qualities. Anyone who orders wine will get punched in the face. He keeps a few bottles of “Owl Bear Punch” behind the counter. Buddy Brewski, like most dwarves, calls everyone “buddy” or “guy.”

Entertainment: The Goblin itself is pretty quiet, folks just eat and sleep there and occasionally plot in the map-room. The Buckets, however, is a place for a good time. The favorite game is “punch for a punch.” Every few days a half-elf singer/lute player named Jolisa Sunshine performs in the early evening and is quite popular.
