This station, despite it's proximity to [[poltron|FORTRESS POLTRON]] is always kept fully manned with the best troops.  In fact, there is usually an extra squad or two of mercenary horse archers kept on post to sweep for nomads. 
This all arises from the fact that the station was sacked by Nomads from the prairie about 10 years ago, and that fact is never forgotten. 

The King's Agent is  Agent Bill, a halfling of unusual organizational skill.
