=====Shopping===== __Purchase haggling:__ roll d20 WIS and d20 CHA checks: if you succeed at both; pay 75% of list; if you fail both; pay double, if you succeed at only 1, pay list. __Day-trip list purchases__: for buying a list of low-cost items, a character can buy all of them in a single day's shopping (subject to a max. price depending on where the shopping takes place --e.g. 75gp in the Bazaar, 35gp in Portburg). Note, if you are buying in bulk, the price maximum is for all items of the same kind, e.g., YOu could buy a maximum of 3 Two-handed swords in the Bazaar in one day (20gpx3=60gp, less than 75). If you want to buy in bulk, you have to find a source/manufacturer. ===Shopping in the City=== __General Rules for Shopping__: go to the ward where the item is available and spend 1 day and roll INT on d20 to find a shop that has what you need. * Items 75gp or less: by spending 1 in-game day a player can buy most things on a list of items of 75gp value or less by spending the day in the [[the_bazaar|BAZAAR]]. * Poison and Illegal goods are best found in [[ratburg|RATBURG]]. * Boats (but not ships) are found in [[dockville|DOCKVILLE]]. * Books, scroll supplies and low-level scrolls can be found in [[bookburg|BOOKBURG]] * Bulk Beverages can be found in [[beertown|BEERTOWN]] * Horses, Livestock and Wagons are found in [[wheelburg|WHEELBURG]] * Expensive cloths and clothing are found in [[weaverton|WEAVERTON]] * Armor, weaponry (including the masterwork items), jewelry and other metalwork worth more than 75gp are found in [[hammerville|HAMMERVILLE]]. * Bulk Provisions are found in [[meekville|MEEKVILLE]] * Herbs, Alchemy, furniture and art objects are found in [[south_bridge|SOUTH BRIDGE]] ===Recruiting=== [[Henchman Recruiting|Henchman Recruiting]] [[Mercenary Recruiting|Mercenary Recruiting]] ===Shopping in the Towns=== Except as noted for each town, to find an item in one of the towns, take 1 day, roll INT or less on 1d20, and if successful, roll the town's available item percentage to see if the item is present (one check allowed per week). [[farmington|FARMINGTON]]: Only goods worth 20gp or less are available in Farmington for a day-trip list of purchases. Bulk purchases of provisions, horses and other livestock are actually easy to achieve and come with a 5% discount. Available Item: 20%. [[portburg|PORTBURG]]: Only goods worth 35gp or less are available in Portburg for a day-trip list of purchases. Ships can be bought here. Available Item: 55%. [[gormling|GORMLING]]: Gormling is so hostile and crabby place that visitors must make a list of items they want and give it to the "Town Agents" to fill. A day-trip list of purchases of up to 50gp each can be made, but the town agents charge a 50% commission. Any metalwork item, including masterwork arms and armor can be found through the Town Agents too, regardless of price, but with the same commission. Available Item: 45%. [[shadar_city|SHADAR CITY]]: Only goods worth 40gp or less are available in Shadar City for a day-trip list of purchases. Available Item: 65%. ===Shopping at the Way Stations=== [[way_stations|The Way Stations]] along the Caravan road will sell provisions, packs, containers, harnesses, arrows/bolts, knives, spears, shields and other caravan related gear. There's a 75% chance they will have 1d4 horses and 1d6 mules for sale. Each station has a blacksmith who can repair metal objects. ===Shopping in the Villages and Castles=== [[cattle_meeting|CATTLE MEETING]] Generally speaking, only food, poor quality clothing and blankets, and beverages can be easily purchased. A simple weapon (i.e. not a sword or crossbow) can be repaired by a blacksmith. Other purchases must be made in a proper town., except when a cattle sale is happening, then allow a 20gp day-trip list, and all the cattle one would want to buy. [[road_moot|ROAD MOOT]]: Anything that has to do with horses, wagons or containers can be bought here, a 10gp max day-trip is also available. [[herd_moot|HERD MOOT]] only food and drink can be purchased here, at double cost. [[z2|MARCH OF CHRONOS VILLAGES]]: the March of Chronos is dotted with multitudes of small farming villages. Generally speaking, only food, poor quality clothing and blankets, and beverages can be easily purchased. A simple weapon (i.e. not a sword or crossbow) can be repaired by a blacksmith. [[castles|CASTLES]]: each Castle will have several farming villages within a few hundred yards where items can be purchased as they can in the Marcher villages above.
