Hobgoblin Rufus was a mighty sorcerer who build a fortress/laboratory complex in the hills east of [[city|Polychronopolis]].  The fortress was sacked by [[orc|Mud Orcs]], but the deeper levels were never explored, much less cleared out.  The villagers in the hills about complain about the monsters that creep out of the place.
