Having lived as a luckless hobo most of his life, learning to steal along the way, Scobo's life changed when a priestess of [[lakshmi|LAKSHMI]] convinced him to trust his future to luck alone.  He flipped a coin, joined a caravan heading west.  Along the way he met a country squire named [[gordon|Gordon]] and when the caravan was attacked, the pair saved each other's lives and became friends.  Later, he took a random path and met a wizard named The Verge, who was trying to teach blockheaded apprentices.  Scobo butted in and amazed everyone with his natural talent.  After a fast apprenticeship, Scobo flippped a coin, headed down a path only to stumble on the manor of his friend Gordon, who let him use a cottage as his guest.  Gordon and Scobo decided to go into the adventuring [[gordons_alive|business together]].

Scobo was killed in a goblin hideout on April 25, YOR 2021 by a poison needle in a trapped door lock.
