The Blackgate Lighthouse
On Blackgate Isle there stands a ruined lighthouse outside the walls of the prison. The lighthouse was an important navigation aide during the 19th century. After The Statue of Justice was built the old lighthouse was not needed anymore and was abandoned. It still stands on the island but is ruined and unused. The roof is rotted and beginning to collapse, the door is chained and padlocked with old rusty chains. The building is home to rats, seagulls and various vermin. The prisoners swear that it's haunted and even if they somehow got the chance, wouldn't go near it.
There is a famous story that The Victorian Legion defeated Captain Anarchist and his Mad Bombers in the lighthouse, blowing the roof off the place in the process.
