Robinson Museum

When Cornelius Robinson donated the land for Robinson Park The old mansion was converted into an art museum, focused on local artists of good repute. There was a considerable endowment to support the museum, but that took a heavy blow in the stock market crash. The staff was reduced from 3 full time curators and 6 full time attendants to 1 curator and 4 part time attendants. Since art prices collapsed, attempts to sell some of the art work were deemed counter productive.

The mayor's office of the arts has been trying to get its hands on the museum, to “save” it from its financial woes. The curator and head of the regent board, Mildred Wayne, is furiously resisting the attempts.

There are rumors a plenty about the spooky old place. It might be haunted by the ghost of Cornelius Robinson. There might be buried gold under the floorboards. The building might siton top of the site where Norwegian settlers were sacrificed to demons by savage Indians.
