The real importance of the Nine Lives is the large indoor "market" which can be reached through the back of the bar, or through a warehouse door from the alley out back. The market is in operation Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights from 6 until midnight. Here underworld figures from all over town come and buy, sell or swap all manner of ill-gotten gains.
