+The small federal courthouse for Gotham City and its surroundings is in the [[gotham_proper|Gotham Proper]] district.    It contains a court room, 2 smaller hearing rooms, judges chambers, the [[FBI office|FBI office]] and the Marshal's office.   The [[Federal Marshals|Federal Marshals]] have a large office and run the whole building.  There is a jail in the basement for holding federal prisoners.
