On February 12, 1934, however, gangsters, led by Declan O'Toole of the The Wound Ravens destroyed the North Tower of the complex. It was part of scheme to force Desmond Cobblepot to default on loans and forfeit a great deal of city property coveted by the Wound Ravens and their partners. It's hoped that the insurance money and the exposure of the plot will give the Cobblepots sufficient time and legal standing to recover.
