Stephen Elliot is the workhorse brother of the late Stanton Elliot.  He runs Elliot International now, but is very cautious, obsessed with not ruining what his brother entrusted to him.  He does little other than work, he's determined and conscientious, but a bit humorless.

He dotes on his daughter [[Samantha Elliot|Samantha]], who runs [[WGOT]] radio.  But, he finds his nephew [[Blair Elliot|Blair]] to be exasperating.  He has a soft spot for Blair's disgraced brother [[Fenton Elliot|Fenton]], and gave him a job managing a meat packing plant.  Stephen lives on the family estate in [[coventry|Coventry]] with his daughter.
