====== Relief Commissioner ======


The Relief Commissioner is tasked with keeping the unemployed and other poor from starving.  He is a mayoral appointee and has the power to hire and fire social workers to administer aid. The job was created in 1930 in response to the Depression. The current commissioner is [[Hedley Lamarre III|Hedley Lamarre III]], as crooked as you might expect.
