Newshound Ace Freely of the [[the_gotham_gazette|Gotham Gazette]] is a hard-hitting reporter famous for accuracy and determination.  His stories are frequently found posted to the wire services to papers across the country.  Freely is famous for always wearing a blue suit with matching blue hat.  He lives in a nice apartment in [[gotham_proper|Gotham Proper]].

He made his career exposing corruption in the [[district_attorney_for_gotham|District Attorney's Office]] in the 20's, and the modern city government does its best to avoid his gaze.   It is rumored that he has been marked for death by the [[east_siders|The East Siders Gang]] for some stories that hurt them badly.  

While he has impeccable ethics, he is personally hard to take.  It's said that he doesn't care for humor (how can I laugh when the world is full of suffering?) and has become very arrogant from his string of successes.
