The Knights of Orion
In addition to the Star Fleet are the Knights of Orion. The knights have the ability to move instantly across space, but this ability is very limited in scope. The gateways that they can open will allow only about a dozen men to cross through per opening; likewise no large amounts of goods or cargo can be moved through either. The supply of Marvel Crystals and those skilled enough to use them is also very limited. So the Knights of Orion serve as special agents of the Orion throne. They can act as messengers, commandos, fugitive hunters and diplomats in the service of the king. These knights can be found wandering the galaxy, or at the Court of the King of Orion, or at their secret training and research center called the Tower of Eternity.
The exact location of the Tower of Eternity is a deeply guarded secret. All transport to and from its location is done by the knights themselves. But it is located on a large moon with a breathable atmosphere that circles a gas giant planet. The knights have an impressive lodge on Orion itself, near the Royal Palace. A large number of knights are always on duty at the Royal Lodge to do the bidding of the king.
